Playing TT, mostly just building techs in creative and R and D, I've picked up some useful tips:

To prevent drifting, use some rudders anywhere on you tech. It also makes the turns sharper

Hover pads can be used as landing gear, since if positioned right, will push the nose up

Use trailer wheels for realistic landing gear

Putting loose blocks inside of a tech and a block magnet on another will make a very slow working train. Just make sure the tech with the loose block uses trailer wheels

Venture hover pads can be used to reduce weight on overburdened techs

If anyone has any useful tips or tricks, please post them below:)

If you want to have ground controls on something that isn't on the ground, but don't want the force from the hoverbug, there are two compact options:
First, you can use two GSO Hub Wheels (or Venture Landing Gear Wheel) with the wheels facing each other, then place two Venture Zero-G Plates facing them, one on each side, directly opposite each other. This fits in a 1x2x3 space, and is the most compact design I have come up with.
The second design is for a 2x2x2 space. It requires 4 GSO Hub Wheels (or equivalent) and 4 GSO Terraphobe Hoverplates (those are the small ones, aren't they?). Just place them in a checkerboard pattern, with one side facing one way, and the other way is the opposite. This compact design, whilst using 33% more volume, is useful in combination with GeoCorp blocks.

You can use the Undo button to replace blocks quickly. Simply rip off the blocks you don't want (make sure something detaches from this so the Undo button appears!) and place down new blocks where they used to be and voila! You have replaced blocks inside your tech/blocks with random stuff on them without having to rebuild your entire tech!

Question, can you do the undo trick with blocks of smaller size? Also, thank you for the tips. As someone who just started they are very helpful.

That UNDO replacing can be bad surprise when it fail. :)

Yes, it works for every block, although it does sometimes (but very rarely/under specific circumstances) mess up and the whole tech falls apart, or something similar.
