The World Height Limit

So dellamorte and tails both went up as high as they felt comfortable with while trying to find the height limit, however neither of them were able to hit the ceiling. (Tails at 27k, della at 75k) This leads me to wonder, is there actually a world height limit? If so, how high up do you think it is?

i feel it should be mentioned that both attempts were made in the R&D test chamber. Just as a small point of fact in case the world bounding box differs between modes.

Maybe the height ends at 5k but the plane still raises and the texture just repeats

2 weeks ago, I tried that in the main game. 10 minutes straight up and no end

tails was flying up for about 45 min.

not very, as dell made it much farther(75k) and in half the time. dell was running at about 120-150.
but alas, tails had no speedo-meter on the tech during the attempt.

Ummmmm... Guys, i know it's old post, but... I'm at 300'000ft (campaign world) right now flying with my helicopter and there is nothing new... I'm going for 1M, wish me luck.

This is a good point to bring up though...

When will there be something up there?
The sky is very empty and only serves as a ground to promote a very lob-sided hoverbug/bomber meta...

This is because All AA guns eventually can no longer reach that high, while the bombs have virtually unlimited falling range, plus the guidance which lets them hit well above viewing distance.
