@WhitePaw2002 created a mod which adds water into the game. It is a simple blue plane which gives you bouyancy, but it works enough like water to be water. Download the TerraTech Mod Manager HERE to get the Water Mod.

Instructions for mod download:

1. Download the latest version of the program from here: https://forum.terratechgame.com/index.php?threads/the-terratech-mod-manager.10137/

2. Unzip the Program folder, and open the .exe file in the Data folder.

3. When you open the program, you will be asked to agree to the terms. After doing so, you will be brought to the Menu.

4. Click Browse Uploaded Mods. This will take you to a list of all the mods currently uploaded to the Mod Manager.

5. Click the mod you want, then click View File. Then click Download File.

6. Click Back, then click Menu. Then click Manage Files. This will take you to a list of all the mods you have downloaded, and also a backup of an unmodded game.

7. Click the mod you want. Make sure you have the correct version of the game, which is shown, then click Set File to add the mod to your game.

8. Open TerraTech as normal, and enjoy!

Now all we need to do is add a whole new biome that's an actual water biome. Also, we need submarines and blocks that can go underwater.
I made this submarine today:

Uses fans to push the tech down to the bottom, and you can tap it to stay at a particular depth, kinda like a helicopter.

This is awesome! You guys did it!

If this water is optimized and tweaked a bit, I would love to see it in game.

Last pic looks like a mangrove forest too and nice little boat you got there!

A video showing how to do this would be nice because I can't get it to work
EDIT: It sayrs the ROOT needs to be in the folder but it already is. Any help? It does allow me to continue without doing so

I had this problem too. It had the windows default pathway set up and my steam is in a custom pathway. All I had to do was drag the TT beta folder from the steam games common folder to the pathway input line/field and it worked just fine.

Great mod, Fun mechanic, And over-all an interesting way to change up the.. By far, Slow-grind tedium...

But just A few thoughts on ways to potentially improve it:
1: allow adjustable water height (IMO: It was hard finding area's deep enough for some of my techs to work in)
2: Allow adjustable block bouyancy (For obvious reasons, Then again, hard to tell if that's Water mod-side adjustments

I know there's some things you probably wont be able to change (Like allowing us to beam up while in water without the hover glitch), But again, Those were just a few thoughts.

Ok, it turns out you can float above the water... I just place a Venture cab in a creative world, and after attaching a Venture altimeter to check the altitude, it is floating at -230ft...
