It's not something we're going to be looking to think about in the very near future - but it's a good discussion point for sure.

I imagine teaching AI to transport resources to a selected location would be the initial way we look into doing this. We already have plans to assign an area for AI allys to 'guard'. If this comes to fruition, I imagine a similar selection process could be used with trasporting resources from one place to another.

But it's too early days yet to know for sure.

You sort of already can, except allied AI is kinda dumb at following you. Whereas enemy AI seems to chase you just fine. Which is weird.
