Last entry before I go sleep. :)

To continue bolstering our efforts to prepare for space exploration, we have to upgrade our interceptor fleets. Here is a Light Space/Terrestrial Interceptor, the Bramble.

Tomorrow will be reserved for bigger Techs.

I will but I'm at work for a few more hours and want to start planning in my head!
Okay, I understand. :)

For this build, and most of my newest multi-tech I use the small GSO fuel tank. With blocks around it. And anchors/small silos is also often usefull because of them not being full blocks, and not having attachpoints at some sides. This makes it easier to make one-snapshot multi-techs.

TEST.png
In this picture the middle tech in only connected with the explosive bolt. The silos on the sides is needed since having a full block will make the middle tech unstable, and sometimes also cause it to shake. (Which you do not want with multitechs.)

Nice! Alrighty, I think I know what I'm gonna be doing! Thanks!

My last attempt at player-aimed artillery had geocorp tracks for lateral aiming, and geocorp articulated drills for a little bit of vertical aiming. The whole tech was tilted upwards to begin with, but wasn't anchored so it was prone to sliding around as techs usually do. It doesn't help that it could only be aimed while firing, which has its own problems. Ie, recoil shooting you off the hill.

I have ill news fellow citrizens: War has burst once again. This one is different however, as one of our citrizens, JimmyBlether, is duty-bound to fight amongst his comrades.

@Zargn, @Chrii_the_Vieh, @Baconus_Yum , we must protect our brethren from the dangers of his mission. But I understand that we cannot commit to this directly, as it would break our oath of non-aggression.

I do however, have some propositions:
  1. We can bestow his fleet the glorious might of the Zesty Realm. We can deliver him the Techs and equipment necessary to tip the scales to his favor.
  2. We can act as his home guard to passively defend and maintain his home and his fleet - that way, he can focus on fighting rather than focusing on the logistics and defense. Many a general forget that bullets and tanks need to be produced before they can be used.

.... @Zargn and I can further refine our artillery, and be ready to bombard the enemy from over the horizon!
We could bombard the enemy, yes. But dont forget that we do not want war. We will only attack others if they attack us first. ;)

Seems like the war, that was close to start is now over.
The Soviets removed their gulags, and the kingdoms who where agains them are now okay with the Soviets. :)

@Chrii_the_Vieh A NEW CITRIZEN HAS ARRIVED. And he likes artillery!

Some builds today:

Using the Doom Cannon's technology, we have built a modular tank, capable of quickly adapting to any role, with just a simple replacement of a turret. This is the Mammoth Heavy Modular Tank.

LK_HVT08_Mammoth_H.png

As a general-purpose, defense-oriented tank, it is capable of engaging both ground and air targets, but it has no boosting to speak of (to minimize the chance of catastrophic explosions and to reduce size), and has a small mobile furnace at the back to increase its operation time.

Simply press X and adjust the turret until it covers the Megaton turret below it.

Below is the Bertha Turret for the tank - it can be used by other tanks that use the same movement mechanism.
LK_HVT08_Mammoth_T1.png

Zargn's prototype has been sent to the Guild of Sciences for further examination. I've ordered a small batch for further testing. This is the Guardian Artillery, the next-generation artillery for the Zesty Realm.

This version of Zargn's gun fixes two issues:
  1. The turret ring slides off when there's too much recoil or when the base is not flat-leveled : This has been fixed by using a modified Z-hinge at the bottom. (That's what I'm calling it now)
  2. The Tech needs two Techs to move. This has been fixed.
With these issues fixed, this turret can become a mobile artillery with the correct Tech to mount it. Not to mention that the systems built into this is scalable - we can build bigger Artillery guns now.

To operate this gun, press X and simply control the turret. Use WASD controls: AD turns it left and right, while WS moves it up and down.
LK_D03_Guardian.png

It has 14 MK3 Battleship cannons, with some 3-Pounder cannons for self-defense, along with shields and repair bubbles. Obviously, don't let it be caught in the frontlines, as it's not armored for the task.

All hail the Lemon Kingdom!

Hey, anyone know a good way to move a lever up and down, with the fulcrum at the back and the gun at the front? Wanna make the cannon of my Siege Tank as well protected as possible, and having the vertical pivot at the back would allow it to lower INTO THE TOP OF THE TANK when not in use!

Edit: I'm specifically hoping to be able to lock it at any angle, so it can reliably bombard a single area for a prolonged period of time.

@Icarus_The_King_Of_Angels can you give us a screenshot or a sketch of what you want to do? I'll give it a shot. :)
Another day... I just finished a new thing, ready for the day that medium axels work. Horizontal rotation is nice and stable, though! I present to you... The Big Boy, mother of all turrets. (Yes, a male mother. Don't judge!) Add whatever weapons you want, this baby can handle all the recoil you can subject it to!Big Boy.png

There IS NO WAR. I'm preventing the Soviet Union from attacking SFS.

@JimmyBlether if you DO attack the SU, I won't be apart of it. And I recommend you don't because they're not capable of attacking you, either. If you accept help from the Lemons to destroy them, then I might as well supply the SU with my own techs to defend against the Lemons.

I wont. We do not attack if unprovoked.

I made an(sort of)artillery tech that doubles as a tank:
TankTillery .png
The TankTillery 0791 is compact, but it is heavily armored and armed with 2 Monster Mortars along with 4 Battleship Cannons as main guns.
The back is specially engineered to lift the front end so the cannons have better range.
To do so,go to reverse, then suddenly gas it.The weight of the back will lift the front at about 30 degrees.

Edit:A new version has arrived:
TankTillery MK2.png
Doubling the Mortar firepower, this version's artillery cannons are moved to the back, but still retains it's range. However, the back is more heavier then the first,so stabilizer wheels are added to prevent falling on it's back. Also now has built-in boosters to help a bit in speed.
