A long-standing idea on the Discord server (the first mention I found was DD/MM/YY 24/3/18) is playing ice hockey in TerraTech using EXP caps as pucks, propelling them with shotguns. This idea has gone through many Frankenstein adaptations and many problems have been run into, but now a release model for the game is finally made! Obviously, EXP parts are not allowed in multiplayer sessions so what was ice hockey is now regular hockey with a ball.

Hockey is played on a gameboard, like air hockey, with two teams of two due to the player limit in Co-Op Creative. As you would expect, the objective is to put the ball into the opponents' goal which can be done with a variety of player techs. The two teams are white and blue, because there are white and blue deely-boppers (duh.)

The game board itself is actually fully 64x64 when unexploded, but pressing X releases little turrets around it which can be set to a different team, allowing players to target them and aim specifically or add spin to their shots. The board has ramps to allow players or the ball to build beam back up if they fall/fly off. The playable space is a respectably-sized 40x56 blocks.

The ball used Better Future curves to make it more roll-y and features antigravity engines to make it fly better and farther. There is no risk of it running out of charge as the game board is covered in wireless chargers on its underside and has a needlessly large battery capacity. This shot also showcases aiming using the turrets.

Currently the jack-of-all trades player tech is the striker, with good offensive and defensive ability with respectable mobility too. Shotguns can propel the ball and its size offers good body-blocking options.

The goalkeeper capitalises on defence, with a large scoop to block shots. The scoop also allows the goalkeeper to put balls back in play that get stuck in the corner by flipping them over its head and can also really annoy the opposing players by ramming and lifting them too.

When used well, a goalkeeper can be quite powerful, even offensively.

All of the techs shown in the photos, all the techs you need to play, are found in the creative save game appended to this post, from which you can make individual snapshots if you wish.

This project has always been community based, and if anybody has any more suggestions or designs for player techs, feel free to mention/include them!

We tested that during development, and I found it not to 'reload' fast enough for a more standard player tech, but by all means a specialised tech could be made using it. For maximum YEET potential.

I found the 'yeet' power of the lance to be fairly weak, tbh. It also doesn't give the booped tech any inertia, just teleports it forwards a ways. Including though/into another tech; more trouble than they are worth.

Nice job building out a whole pitch for this. Curious to see video of it in action, as to how playable and fun it is...?:)
