The irony is: using the TTMM, adding custom textures is way easier.
Currently its about as easy to make custom textures with other things as it is with official modding tools because regardless the vanilla corp textures are a MESS, idk how to work with uploading mods to the workshop either so uh yeah you kinda have a point there

i can probably expect some people to be upset over these statements ._.

Like Rob said above if you could provide feedback on how we could improve the process that would be really helpful :)

Main thing that's got me worried is the messiness of most of the vanilla corp textures (mainly GSO and GC), while they're fine the placement of everything feels rather cramp and i got it even worse since the first one i intend to do will probably end up replacing some of the textures entirely since DL
and also texture2 being split into 2 files, not used to that

Well, it's like this: Using the TTMM, all i have to do is literally drop a named folder with some pics in it, into the custom tex folder.
That's it.

And editing those files is as simple as opening it in any paint prog.
No zipping, no installing new progs, just the TTMM and what you got on your comp.

Well, it's like this: Using Steam Workshop, all i have to do is literally click a button to download the skin and the rest is handled automatically.
That's it.

I've been off this forum for a while.
Anyone know when we're going to get custom blocks/corps/whatever supported officially?
(also seth I thought you left?)

Next step is probably official custom blocks
Some simple way of getting new blocks in without TTMM would be good.
Also set rules for making new blocks.

Without Space Engineers problem of 'every update breaks all the mods'

I know I'm extremely late for this party, but ever since this virus-crisis destroyed my life, computer games were superseded by literally everything.

Anyway, it's awesome to see official mod support at least partially realized it the game. Furthermore, it's true custom skins, so I guess I can chow down on these words of mine:
Let's not kid ourselves (modders), we will never have official mod support, if there's a DLC store, as mods would be direct competition for the official paid content, and we can't have that, now can we?
Looking forward to where mod support is going!

Although I haven't used the official modding thing yet, I will say that custom huds sound like a good idea. To simplify it, maybe add a few widgets *Basically what shows up on the hud, such as speed, altitude, battery, fuel, minimap, and add An artificial horizon too cause thats something pilots need.* Have them like drag and drop maybe? I don't know.

I wonder if we'll be able to get mission support for custom corps, like to where it's possible to make proper non-repeatable missions with unique terrain and structures like vanilla corps got

and what would happen if people made DLC-sort of stuff for custom corps hmm

and new biomes-

Well seth, I will say one thing. I know for a fact that payload studios or any other studio for that matter wont allow people to *sell* DLC for a custom mod... unless you're doing a raytracing shader for minecraft apparently.

And about the structures, I would imagine that would be possible in the far future, but I think they'll work their way up.
