Just as an Idea, a bomber that flys high and drops bombs with enough power could destroy the resource nodes, as long as there is a way to prevent them from respawning.

the resource nodes do not re-spawn while they are covered my a block/tech eg a fabricating base over erudite seams (that had trees all around it) the trees do not re-spawn till the base is un-anchoured/removed

progress, I guess?? I just wonder about the block limit. I believe that Hex stated that even extending it by one was already enough to crash the game, yet this seems to work seamlessly. is there any technical explanation about why?

I stop mapping the cells after reaching 64x64, so the game thinks it's still within the build limit, you see the white square marked in the middle of the base? that's the build area where you can attach other blocks. You cannot attach anything outside of that square
oh, so it still has physics, it just doesn't map after. got it. then if so, wouldn't it be possible to make a mod to automatically stop mapping aps outside of the build limit to allow for larger techs??

I meant altering the block data of an existing block once it's out of the block limit to de-render attachment points outside of the limit. For instance, if you were building a really large tech and you hit the block limit, you could still place one more block assuming you don't perfectly hit it. Then, we could fully take advantage of very large blocks to make larger and larger tech. Additionally, this would be fun for modded multiplayer, as multi-tech with first-person cab "spotter modules" would kind of have a use.

I want to use transparent force field as the doors for my hangars, what color do you guys think it should be? orange, yellow, grren or blue?


Also, the de-spawning problem seems to have been resolved by using Legionite's ModuleTileLoader, so we can expect the Airbase dimensions to be 1000x1000 following the original plan

I haven't found a good transparent red material, there's something called ObjectHighlightInvalid, it's red but too transparent, like almost clear
Would the red from when blocks get damaged overlayed on a glass material work?

as i said, i haven't found it yet, i need the mesh material name, there's this spreadsheet but the red materials i've tried are either too opaque or too transparent

here's several interesting transparent material for example

"ObjectHighlightAttach": very transparent green
"ObjectHighlightInvalid": very transparent red
"ExplosionBullet": very transparent orange
"Conveyor_Arrow_Yellow": bright transparent yellow
"BeamBuildMode": bright transparent green
"Conveyor_Arrow_Green": bright transparent blue

i'm starting to run out of buildings to model hahaha, what else do you hope to find on a NOVA airbase?

we've got 8 massive hangars with photovoltaic panels on them, 2 parallel runways with a total length of 1km each

And this is the control tower, responsible for coordinating aircraft traffic. Also provides crew quarters for the entire complement. The rooftops can be used as an outdoor space for recreational activities like, idk, playing volleyball or something, whatever it is Troopers and Novitiates do in their free time

And this is the garrison tower, which will hold a massive armory, and provide storage for jet fuel, ammo, provisions, and other logistical needs. The Base Commander's office and quarters are also in this building, with access to a small helipad for a quick in and out in case of emergencies. This building will also contain the on-site reactor, that can generate enough power to put this entire base in the air, making it an 'air airbase' hahaha.

You can put your weapons inside the white square in the middle of the airbase, that's 64x64. And not limited to just missiles, you can put absolutely anything
