2: what’s with you and the expression “drunken bear driving off of a cliff” you’ve used it like three times so far.
It handles so horribly when its spawned in it immediately just up and leaves.

well, ZTech will accept the worthy vehicle challenge. we will make a custom aircraft and send it to you. note: I do not use shields or repair bubbles because my fighters are lightweight and fast. also I myself will join. you will realize ZTech has the power to bring air superiority a little closer with our small and agile fighters.

I bring infantry to the lines, they are small, not the best fighters but when you need a mass of small guns they do their job.

Most plane type techs don't need healling or shielding for themselves they are just wasted weight. The only reason mine have it is I use Vtols.

I like your message, but i'm afraid that any NOVA tech will have to come equipped with adequate shielding and repair. What good does a tech do if it cannot heal or defend itself?
your concerns are well read, but my own aircraft are built to be small yet effective, and performs good in speed and maneuverability. to add batteries, I would be adding dead weight onto my aircraft, and the fact it needs to land for a recharge every time it has no power makes its range smaller. if you were to take a look, my aircraft are built with the smallest of parts, and all can achieve fast speeds and can maneuver faster than others. but, I will also make a heavier, lower performance aircraft with these fancy addons. just note that my aircraft are meant to out perform all other aircraft and be used for air-to-air mainly, with a little of dive bombing in between.

and as for defenses, I have actually done MOC battles with my own aircraft, and they fly to fast for shots from the ground to hit them. and with the maneuverability they add on, they could be better in the skies than larger, shielded and repairable aircraft. I can show you at some point the abilities of these underrated aircraft, and perform a dogfight against one member.

Working on the largest AG carrier I have ever built. I don't know what changed in the last update but the AI actually flies AG craft. meaning this baby has some high ground advantage.

As such, I have changed the basic concept from having 2 hovers on teh side to anti gravity "fish" they are a bit irratic in flight and that is by design. they also have a bad habit of flying off on their own to chaise small builds, but I think that is do to the AI module I put in them.

might swap out the 2 fish for 4 Vtol's with a single AG pip in them so they fly.

I am with you on that.

light aircraft you shouldn't be putting shields or healing on them.

medium aircraft, pick shield or healing you don't need both.

heavy aircraft, you don't need either as you should have enough armor to deal with anything that hits you at speed.



The big thing with aircraft is what you need depends on what type.


VTols like my specialty, you need healling on at the least a you are sitting above a target and hovering where as a fast attack interceptor or bomber like you build really don't need the risk that comes from batteries. Your builds from what I have seen, look like they can survive loosing a wing but if you where to put a battery on that, the battery blowing would take everything with it.

I did dabble with 2 attempts on VTOL aircraft, but my light STOL aircraft are the ones you need to fear the most, as I spend over an hour on each, tuning it to be as balanced and as fast as possible. most people think the light, unshielded and no repair on the go aircraft are never to be used, but they are the best to use.

I finally got TerraTech working so, I built the small prototype, and was going to fit one set of weapons, but then I realized depending on the task at hand, we can fit weapons of certain size and weight onto it.

this is the frame of what I called the parasite. I took a chassis of my most balanced and perfect plane, the Z7 AeroCar, added the 3 prop on the back, and to counter that I moved the fins up. the frame alone in close to level flight can go over 140 MPH, and can take off within a second. I will do 2 posts on the examples I came up with, and they all actually perform at speeds of over 130 MPH, which is one of the fastest things I used without using jets

Some updates on the command drop ship. Replaced the two tuna like AG with 4 anti grav tanks, each armed with twin cannons20200819172608_1.jpg

Image form testing them in concept and launch.

My next objective is the tank bay which I need some ideas for, it will be a ground based tech tracks required. What sort of weapons should I go for on it?

Main build is missiles and lasers, AG tanks are cannons and missiles, "infantry techs" are MGs, so what should go on the rear tank?

Once the tank is done will move to working on the exterior armor and shell, then see if the thing can be uploaded as an invader, if not will throw on the workshop.

So give the tank an AA focus? hmm maybe a hive then?

Skihiley, is my parasite model approved for use and I'm allowed to join NOVA?
Edit: I don't mind for you to upload these things as your own, as they are built for that purpose. I might revisit it at some point and make it a next gen AeroCar, but for now it's all right.
(also I might make a faster MK2 with a hidden 4th prop within)

so I use my failed thing I was messing with yesterday, and I make this beast, the NOVA Viper:

and instead of several armed versions, I only have one balanced one(the unarmed one is a bit heavy on either the nose or tail):

it flies a bit worse in a few cases to the smaller parasite, but it's not built to be an annoyance to airborne enemies or ground enemies, it's built to destroy them. armed with 5 chipping lasers that picks away at rapid speed, and twin missile clusters to do the damage. if a parasite was a scout, this would be the main fighter. note: it has one major weak point that fortunate ground enemies could destroy, if they don't get blown up first, what would destroy the rear half of the plane, and possible make it not able to fly.
