What this thread is about:

I want to show and let others experience both techs I've taken a liking to, and techs that operate strangely. You can expect to see quite a few unofficially modded techs and some completely vanilla (I will indicate which). I give credit to another player, WARMIND, who has inspired the adaptation and creation of quite a few of these techs. Also, I apologize for my English, it isn't perfect.

Suggestions are welcome!*
I'll do my best to create your ideas!

v How to use these techs in your game v
Labeled photos will be in snapshot form, meaning you can drag 'n drop them into your own snapshot folder and use as your own!
First find your snapshot folder (instructions can also be found on the official TT discord)
- Windows: Documents/My Games/TerraTech/numbers/Snapshots
- Mac: …/Application Support/TerraTech/numbers/Snapshots
Once you find this f
older drag the snapshot file into it and restart TT! You should be able to find the snapshots with all your others

Please tell me if my techs aren't working for you, dm me on Discord or here to get it sorted

*Although do please keep them logical, and yes that means no explosive bunny cannons

The TSAR MRK1

The TSAR is a grav-mag, bomb style, tech that I plan to make a series around. It utilizes gravity magnifiers to obtain downward speeds of over 9000. With this speed the TSAR is able to drill through the toughest of techs, barring great holes through them. With most of the magnifiers located close to the bottom, I have established a strong center of mass on the TSAR, causing it to fall properly, causing MAXIMUM damage.
TSAR .png
This tech is 100% percent vanilla, so you unmodded players can use it as well!
again.png
The TSAR at high speeds

INSTRUCTIONS: PRESS X TO DETACH. Use at VERY high altitudes (10,000m to reach optimal speeds) I know its long to get up there, but the wait is worth it!

NOT CAMPAIGN VIABLE - YOU WILL LOSE A FEW BLOCKS ON IMPACT, and you won't be able to go to the surface unless completely destroyed. Use against your friends in Multiplayer (if you have any) and in R&D (for the people who don't)

JUST A RAILGUN MRK1

Railgun S.png

The "Just a Railgun" series is a completed group of techs (of which this is the first) that takes explosive bolts and sticky grenades to the next level. Using the Reticule Research sticky grenades to attach bombs to blocks, GSO bolts to gently detach blocks, and VEN shove-it bolts to force the blocks out of the barrel at extreme speeds. Enemies with magnets will have an extremely hard time as the blocks will then home in on them and they only have a few seconds to prepare.

Campaign Viable? - Like most of my other techs, absolutely not. This tech depends on its many explosive bolts to aim/propel (which are non reusable) and blocks that are tedious to recover. Creative worlds with friends and the R&D lab are the best places for this tech.

My original inspiration came from one of Warmind techs, that launched a zero-point far far into the distance. Later I conversed with him about using it on a larger scale and using grenades, and so the Just a Railgun series began. Currently working on orbital versions, but I displayed this one as it is easier to use.

INSTRUCTIONS: Must be far away to function properly! Swivel and aim the railgun at the target (ENEMY MUST BE OUT OF RANGE OF THE GRENADES OR ELSE THEY WILL NOT FIRE AT THE BLOCKS) Press Space to fire the grenades onto the blocks and press X to launch them. At 5 seconds the grenades will detonate, so it is preferred to launch them before then (1 sec is ideal)

NO MODS REQUIRED 100% VANILLA

Other Marks

Here are the other Marks of this tech, each railgun's labeled number determines their block size. The lower number, the longer range and more spread. All railgun share the same instructions and function similarly. This also means that they are all 100% vanilla.

The MRK5 has not been listed due to disfunction, the MRK4 has roughly the same effect

MRK6

Like a shotgun, the MRK6 has little range, but it compensates in its high damage and easy use

Just A Railgun MRK ZG

Railgun ZG.png

A different take on the bolt railgun, this one uses anitgravs instead of grenades. With the purpose of discombobulating the enemy, nothing does it better than this. An unplanned perk to the design of this tech, is that it makes firing the grenade versions much easier as they have no gravity weighing them down. (Must be directly inline to achieve this effect)

Uses obscene GSO wheels as ammo for their strange hit boxes that fool the zero-points (I would of used BF blocks but they didn't work)

Like the others, this tech follows the same rules/instructions, is 100% vanilla, not campaign viable, and is also heavily inspired by WARMIND.

'Impossible' Techs

Geometric wall.pngIllusion.pngWall?.pngA wall between us.pngIt get worseee.png
A different style for me, but I have taken a liking in making 'Impossible' Techs or illusions. They don't have any real purpose other than to look at and microwave your brain. I will be sending it in snapshot form in case you want to check out the other side of the tech, on your own. You will need to slide your camera to find the right angle as it doesn't line up already out of the box.

THESE TECHS ARE 100% VANILLA

As I can't upload more than 5 files per post I'll reply to this one with all the snapshot files

I guess you can use it in campaign? But the devs haven't added frustration damage yet, so its up to you
(Cabs are used to show perspective and are sold separately)

'Impossible' Tech Set #2
huh MRK2.pngEVEN BETTER.pngImpossible loop.pngcolour.pngAnother batch of 'Impossible' Techs that I started making a few days back. Although they serve no real purpose, they are enjoyable to look at and enjoyed by a few in the discord community, so I will be making more. I will be sending it in snapshot form in case you want to check out the other side of the tech, on your own. You will need to slide your camera to find the right angle as it doesn't line up already out of the box.

THESE TECHS ARE 100% VANILLA AND DON'T REQUIRE MODS TO FUNCTION

To be neat I will send the snapshots separately (I cannot send more than 5 per message)

I guess you can use it in campaign? They are cheap and reusable, but don't defend themselves (yet)

ORBITAL OBLITERATOR MRK1
Obliterator shot 2.png
Much like the Just a Railgun series, the Orbital Obliterator is a tech that uses bolts to propel projectiles latched onto blocks. As the name suggests, this is an orbital version, sending in projectiles from above instead of horizontally. This provides the benefit of being able to see over varying height levels in terrain, an easy escape from enemies, and you look cool when everyone else wonders how you got up there.

The Obliterator uses up/down arrows for lift and WASD keys to move. X to detonate
THIS TECH IS 100% VANILLA

It pairs perfectly with camera mod, although it is not included for your convenience

ORBITAL OBLITERATOR ZG
Obliterator shot 2.png
Another tech in the Orbital Obliterator series. I have done a horizontal Zero Point launcher before, and now its time to make a vertical version. Like the horizontal version this one shoots antigravs instead of grenades. If the target has any magnets then the blocks will be pulled towards them, making them practically guarantied to fly off and crash back down.

HYBRID OBLITERATOR
Hybrid.png
As the name suggests, this version obliterator is a hybrid version of the previous 2 obliterators. This means that this obliterator will shoot both antigravs AND grenades, what more could you want? I haven't made a horizontal version, so this is the only place you can get one of these (as of yet)

Anti Grav Resistant
resistant.png
With all these zero point projectiles flying around, you have to be sure that you won't fly away as well! Introducing the Zero Gravity Resistant. This tech utilizes reverse hoverbug to stay latched onto the ground. With a hover-controller on the back, you can turn it on or off, depending on your setting (the additional traction makes you go faster so having it off only puts you into control and it helps with turning). Sleek and flat, with the Tactical skin by Rafs, it really blends in!

THIS TECH IS 100% VANILLA

The Scarab

Nope.pngAnother tech that utilizes hoverbug to obtain the upper hand, just like the Zero Grav resistant, except the scarab climbs walls instead. Instead? Nah, it does BOTH, climbs walls and is immune to zero gravity projectiles. The Venture used in this design makes it lightweight and agile, in compensation for toughness. But whats that? Yes the scarab comes with healing and a shield, with a very low drain. For its wall climbing abilities, you will need to learn how to move around while drifting and how to get on the side of things, I can't instruct you how to do that (I can but It'll be lengthy) so just practice

Enough of hard loop-de-loops, the scarab can handle that by driving upside-down!
