As @Zeena mentioned in a previous reply, block limits on the console versions aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

What we can look into is increasing the block limit. Obviously it'll need some dev time so we're not able to commit a time-frame to it or even confirm if it's possible yet so stay tuned.

What we do have in the pipline is a cool feature called Hot Swapping which will allow you to store and deploy your techs in a single action. This will make it more straightforward to remove redundant techs and the block limit will become less noticeable.

Isn't there a point when the devs sort of have to listen to the players? I can believe that it wouldn't be an easy fix, but this thread has a 100% approval rate. Think about that.

We're constantly looking at feedback and suggestions, more than you could know!

However, there comes a point where restrictions that are outside our control limit what we're able to do. In this case, removing the block count on console will have a negative impact on performance hence the restriction. We will obviously listen to feedback and suggestions, which is why I highlighted the point about looking into increasing the block limit.

The primary reason for having the block allowance for the console versions is that TerraTech has to pass certification in order to be released, which means that TerraTech has to adhere to the console certification requirements (Sony TRCs and Xbox XRs).

The PC version is open-ended so as you add more Techs and use more blocks, your game save file grows and you can ultimately create very large game save files. With PS4 and Xbox One certification restrictions on how large game save files can be, we would always fail submission without addressing the open-ended nature of the PC game. So this is the main reason why the block allowance was introduced, with the secondary reason being to retain an acceptable frame rate to not violate performance related certification requirements.

Because of this, the block allowance cannot be removed for the console versions. But as @Matt has mentioned, we can review the current block allowance limit and make a call on whether it can be increased without violating the certification issues mentioned.

I was really looking forward to playing this game because I saw videos if sunder playing it on YouTube. But I do not have a pc but I have a Xbox series x and I was not aware of the block allowance and now there is nothing to do in the game. The block allowance should have a option to be removed when you are making a game.
