ALL ROGUE BOTANISTS WELCOME
The Mycon Corp is a faction of GreenTech outcasts banished for performing suspicious experiments, launching an attack during one GreenTech’s unveiling of new weapon technology, and for destroying laboratories during said attack. Years past the Rift catastrophe, Myconite Corp emerges with a very peculiar, and all new style to build in Terra Tech’s universe!

All blocks and parts are live fungi, modified to withstand military-grade shelling and slowly regenerate whatever gets damaged. Inspiration for the blocks’ design and coloration originates from the game, Terraria’s “Funky Zone” glow-shroom biome.

Introduction:
This is the first all-organic corporation. All of this began at GreenTech’s rally planet, where the new Nox Bubble was being tested. During its prototype phase, it contained an untested module of the Proxima Dark component. Seconds after firing up the main energy unit, there was an unexpected blackout, although this time, it was not just the power that was lost.

During this test, a rift in space-time had been created, demolishing a great portion of the west laboratory wing. As the chaos settled down, otherworldly substances leaked out from the sparking rubble. It is highly caustic, and a crater developed in the main vicinity.

At the time, GreenTech has been experiencing turmoil within this particular laboratory, as its population of scientists was slowly disappearing without record of anyone leaving. In the aftermath, reporters uncovered suspicious evidence that suggested that the rift-catastrophe was a malicious attack on the corporation. The question of “who did this,” remained a mystery.

However, a Greentech horticulturalist, Sam Thornweave received a lab report of unknown origin. When he opened the file, an embedded virus forced the report to be broadcasted to every screen in the GreenTech movement:

MYCONITE ZERO-POINT FUNGAL EXPERIMENT 86:
___________________________________
Procedure and Results:
After mixing soil with this extra-dimensional material, the native Korobirch trees to undergo very bizarre mutations In the following seedlings. This lead to the creation of the glowing Shroom Trees seen today. Hardy desert plant life would coagulate into tough mounds of crystalline biomaterial, but scar the surface of the ground into a course rock-sand. Desert habitats that once flourished with life are now eerie rocky flats with giant hexagonal pillars and crystalline flowers peppering the landscape.

Conclusion:
It is now confirmed that this extra-dimensional matrix is indeed takes form akin to airborne pathogens; their effects appear to be in favor of fungi, a detriment to fauna, although mixed results were obtained while mixing with plants.
The fungi affected by the corruption are the primary focus behind this Corp: GreenTech Rebels harvest these bioluminescent fungi for acidifying the battery circuits, although these mushrooms appear to have other uses.
After the Great GT Rebellion, rogue botanists founded the Mycon Corp.
—————————————————
Everything is a live fungus genetically engineered into a super-biomaterial. They heal over time and as based from Terraria, they all emit a soft eerie glow

It appears there is a new corporation in the works...

INTRODUCING MYCONITE FUNGAL INDUSTRIES:
“MYCON CORPORATION”

-Blocks, Glowing And Growing-
Although the glowing mushrooms makes Mycon Not as stealthy at night, their toxic artillery proves a formidable adversary for enemies big and small. The acid splashes and spores continue to damage enemy blocks post-impact, as they corrode their blocks into a pasty sludge. Meanwhile, the blocks themselves are alive and growing; after sustaining damage, these blocks will slowly regenerate hit points all on their own without consuming power!

Some may ask: with GreenTech’s being a conglomeration of biotechnological and ecological environmental communities, how could the founders of Myconite be considered outcasts of an already-rebellious macro-society?

GreenTech as a corporation has set standards and basic codes that unify the community. Mycon’s founders violated those codes originally, but did such in secret. Some rumors remain that perhaps, Myconite scientists performed arboreal experiments on captive prisoners unbeknownst to the main body of the GreenTech community. Others suggest that these folk fully supported a greener future, but fell into a cultist mindset that favored the rule of fungi and plants over human and human-like life.

This theory is backed up by some very disturbing evidence in their currently abandoned lab rooms. Each room contained several large cage-cells that investigators report “were littered with traces of human DNA, one of which contained the remains of a corpse “pulsating with a eerie blue glow,” and had very large fungi growing upon and around it. DNA samples of this subject matched that of the Greentech Chief Botanist, Anton Kurobov. Samples from the other cells also source from other GreenTech members who had gone MIA (missing in action).
——————————————————
Ten years before Mycon was declared an official corporation, the founders were praised with discovering a technological breakthrough: antimater projection spheres. During a newscast interview with these scientists, one reported ducked out to investigate the labs. What they uncovered was as disturbing as it was frightening, however would keep his findings secret for nearly a decade after the rift catastrophe struck. .

The first release of this report only uncovered that the malfunctioning Nox Bubble was caused, and not a tragic accident. Investigators then swarmed the labs to uncover the dark secrets, led by this reporter, Michael, that led to the exposure of the countless startling and unsettling experiments performed by this renegade cloister, as previously described. These are what had gotten them banished from GreenTech, although they carried copies of their thieved findings on their way out to exile.

Welcome to Myconite!

During a newscast interview with these scientists, one reported ducked out to investigate the labs. What they uncovered was as disturbing as it was frightening.

The first release of this report reveals that the Nox Bubble was the direct result of stolen intel from Project Dark Star (see Youkai lore by Saiko-Sama). Investigators then swarmed the labs to uncover the dark secrets, led by this reporter, Michael, that led to the exposure of the countless startling and unsettling experiments performed by this renegade cloister, as previously described. These are what had gotten them banished from GreenTech, although they carried copies of their illegal findings on their way out to exile.
