Don't know if its a bug or just something I did without knowing, but I was clicking stuff on my base, had right clicked on the fabricator and was trying to make stuff when an enemy spawned and started attacking my base. Well, my car suddenly started shooting back and I couldn't regain control of it.

To make things worse, my car was on one side of my base shooting at the enemy on the other side of the base, so both my vehicle and the AI were hitting my base. Watched it for a few secs then just clicked to restart the game.

When you double click on something the control switches to that thing, basically if you double click any of your cabs/base it will switch you to control it.
Hope that helps :)

Same thing happened to me. Except my vehicle wandered out of sight before I managed to click it. I was stranded in my base, until I ran out of power, and got drilled to death.

So the AI bot control works? You can build an AI module, put it on your current bot, double click the module and have it take control.

Then build a new bot for yourself at your base?

I haven't been able to tell. It just took over my vehicle as I accidentally took control of the base. And then my vehicle wandered away, and I was left with no resources to build anything else

Don't need an AI module (maybe not programmed yet?). Just need to double click your base and your car will go driving off to do whatever if it is able. It's easy to prevent. If you want to concentrate on your base, either move/remove the wheels from your car or toss a few blocks under your car to get the wheels off the ground.

AI modules work actually ^^ without it the movement of the bots is a bit random and has no purpose, with it they will follow you around
