As of now, the inventory is now cluttered with tons if blocks, some that are just mirrored versions of one. I suggest the way to solve this is by impementing a "variant switcher", similar to Kerbal Space Program's part inventory.

For example, Better Future has mirrored versions of their streamlined blocks that takes a lot of space in the selector. So to lessen the taken space, all of these will have a hotkey (preferably the right mouse button) to choose the variant you wish to use. After selecting, it will stay in that variant until the player decides to change it again.

If this sounds confusing, the KSP players can help you guide on what is being stated here. (If they reply here)

I'm not opposed to this although I'd rather see a hotkey that does this while you're holding a block, similar to the block rotation function. This would keep you from even needing to open inventory sometimes.
