Is it possible to speed up the pacemaker even more with a new mode called "Full Throttle"?
The current max speed is nice, but I am still wondering if it can go even faster than that...
(Sounds like resources flying off the conveyors may become an issue with this)

Maybe a "warpspeed"? It'd do everything instantly, like you have the raw/refined chunks for a HE missile launcher, hit craft and boom, you have it. Thoughts?

I think it needs work.

Pause is great.
Slow is too slow. Needs to be about half normal speed. currently it's effectively 'pause' which we already have.
Turbo is about right, but i have no problems with 3x speed.

That was the original idea i think.

Probably was too hard to code.

I'm thinking the current 4x faster boost is fine. (And faster likely problematic to implement.)

Maybe the 1/5th speed slow-mo would be better at 1/4th; a smidgen less glacial, as Pink Kitty says above.

And I'm thinking that it should be made physically bigger, so easier to find and click, and in fitting with it's massive usefulness: please see my new suggestion thread.:)

Overdrive mode would be cool, but of course, resources flying off (and the refineries cluttering up on their way, remember?). Maybe let's do this:
Snail - Current Slow
Slow - 0.5 Normal Speed
Normal - Normal, duh
Turbo - 2x the speed
Overdrive - 4x the speed

And probably some drawbacks (aside from resources falling off) so for example a mobile refinery with Snail speed holds tighter to resources than a refinery on Overdrive.

I'm thinking that the pacemaker was implemented the cheap way, taking a lot of challenge out of the crafting.

I'm thinking that the pacemaker should ONLY apply to the conveyors/filters and nothing else, while factories/refineries/cannons and everything else should always craft/sell at the same speed.

This way you will actually need more than 2 cannons and more than 4 factories if you want to craft/sell faster.


Devs, what do you think? :)

Component factories and refineries need to run in lock-step with the conveyor system. Crafting's already a total mess of bugs and this would just make it impenetrably unusable.

Crafting needs more buffs and encouragements, if anything.

There's an argument, logically and balance wise, to limit the Orbital Delivery canons' firing rates - if that helps mitigate Erudite farm exploitation. But I'd leave that be too, for simplicity.
