Got bored and this might be a long one, minimal block ideas though.

QUEST IDEA: WE ARE LEGION

Quest start: Legion has their eyes on you, their many eyes. Please head to the marked location to meet our representatives.

Player heads to location, and is greeted by several small spider like BOTS and a local control bot. The controller gives her name tells you that in order to give a license you need to join the legion in an assault of GC factory.

A small spider bot then drops from space and you are told to get in it and store your tech, once in it your inventory is locked and your hud is disabled becides the bottom section which shows charge and radar. (it is a minimal hud block they have in ideas bellow)

Once in the bot and tech is stored a few more AI bots will drop in and start marching in a direction, a red pointer shows you where to go. Following the bots leads to a small three structure GC base with a few GSO small techs gaurding it, once all three main techs are destroyed the mission completes and you are given a license and two AI modules.

Once this is done, future quests will require you to have at least one to three AI followers with you.

MODULE IDEAS

ADVANCED AI Brain: a 1x1x1 block that gives an AI an advanced programming, this will allow it to flee when damaged, anchor when power is low/ find a charger when power is low.

Harvester Brain: Used in Legion ants, these AI modifiers cause drones to run around looking for resources, upon finding them they will return to the nearest drop off point (the part that takes things from storage) Generally used for forestry.

Defense brain: a 1x1x1 block that modifies a Drone AI, in this case it causes the Drone to stay near and defend anchored techs. Useful for mobile defenders.

Charging brain: Used for mobile charging bays, anchors during the day, and moves around to charge other techs during night, only moving to charge those bellow 70% battery. Will not charge other charging brains. Changes targeting of charging blocks.

ANT DRONE: a strange AI module, when not attached to blocks has a carrier that can hold 4 of any resource has a built in harvester brain.

Planter: a unique tool to legion, this block is a 2x2x2 block with no bottom or top connectors, when anchored it will launch "spores" that cause mushroom like trees to grow around it. These trees give less wood then normal ones but more sap.

Fortification marker: meant for large bases, marks an area as a base hiding all allied techs in its range and replacing their marker with a large square. Used to stop Radar crowding in large bases. IT also causes AI's with a defense Brain to stay in its area patrolling around other techs.

Legion Charger: looks like an antenna from an ant or something, if a tech has two of them they will bounce charge between them extending the range up to a max of a GC, having just one is short range, having 4(max) is long range, though charge speed goes down with range charge amount goes up. 4 zaps from a build with 4 can fully charge a GSO battery. If the tech they are charging has legion chargers the energy will visibly jump to the chargers and not the battery, this is mostly for things like wireless power lines.

Legion swarm hud: a small 1x1x1 block that has a fuel, energy, and radar on it. when placed on a tech it adds the ability to disable all hud elements but the fuel, energy, and radar.

Legion advanced radar: it is a radar, but it is 3d showing a height map.

WEAPON IDEAS

Plasma mortar: based on the wraith mortar from halo in idea. This mortar fires a green ball of plasma at an arch, unlike other mortars its projectile is guided.

Plasma torpedo: a 4 long tube that fits rather well with a BF slope these fire a single long range missile with minimal guidance, does extremely high damage but has almost no turn making it easy to avoid.

Plasma missile launcher: a small 2x1x1 weapon similar to the hawkeye missile launcher, the difference is it fires a single missile instead of a burst of 2. Said missile glows purple and has a small detonation area but a high damage.

Swarm missile launcher: You see those missile pods on a helicopter, yeah these are meant for things like that fires 3 missiles at a time 12 missiles total.

wasp bay: a large 4x4x4 weapon, this bay will deploy upto 4 small hovers, that are armed with a single plasma missile an AI module, 4 hovers, and a few other minor parts.

Can I add to this? With all the top-tier AI stuff it's likely to get, Legion could use a way for us to assign charging ports to our robot legions. I'd like some sort of wireless charger that can be flagged for a specific AI tech, which will seek it out for charging, or perhaps a separate marker to denote a tech's charging bay. Maybe that could be worked into a rally point system.

got bored have a mission idea

ANT COLONY

Start: Locate [name] for she has a mission for you of some importance.

The mission: a rogue AI commander has set up a "ant colony" which is always in a salt flats biome, always has some autominers extracting materials, and a few techs around it. The ant colony is a big threat to the legion as it shows they are not one unit. Get a force together and wipe it out.

the base is rather unique in the fact it is a well set up base with a factory, silo, 4 AA turrets with swarm missiles of some sort, and a lot of ant cabs wondering between the autominers and factory.

Upon attacking the rogue AI commander will drop in combat techs in waves. five waves in total, once the last wave is dealt with, they will drop in in a 2 mill BB tech armed and armored to the teeth with a boss shield.

Upon dropping in they will destroy their own base and give you an option. take a bribe of a tech, or fight them directly.

The ANT QUEEN

this is there tech, it spawns smaller fighters to protect it and is mainly armed with missiles. the good thing about it is it doesn't have much health. the bad thing it has a boss shield, and while 4 chargers for it do drop in with the boss they are spread out.

the bribe and tech.

Miniqueen
info: a six legged walker that has a shield, battery, TEch spawn bay, and a single unique missile launcher the fires from what looks like ant mandibles.

rewards

for the fight: what ever you can salvage off the queen, which at best gives you 4x of the spawners you only get one of from the mini, and maybe some unique decor items.

From the bribe: easier and less but you have a 100% chance to get a few unique decor and weapons.

i like the idea of a planter,

what if the planter tho - could grow defensive plants?

though legion is described to be a horrifying corp...so maybe skin could grow on the whole tech?

it would be like shield bubbles without bubbles, the skin would grow on blocks in a specific radius, the skin would function like armor plates that can be regenerated with battery power! more skin planters or cores, the stronger the skin!

And the brains are also a cool idea, what if there was a different brain that could allow you to fly with a camera for scouting purposes ?! or a brain that the player can program himself, and make the best AI for a tech, maybe using actual programming??!??! oh man the possibilities!!!!!!!

A scouting drone would be nice. but that is something you can already make in a way using a small hover and explosvie bolts.
