Community Core is a live stream where we showcase the best creations players have made in TerraTech.

If you'd like to have your tech showcased you can submit your techs by attaching snapshots, game saves or Steam Workshop links in this thread.

You'll be able to watch them in action on Wednesday 6th November from 4pm BST on Twitch:

www.twitch.tv/terratechgame

A limit of no more than TWO Snapshots/Steam Workshops or 3 Techs in a GAME SAVE per player, please :) If submitting a GAME SAVE please specify if it's R&D or Creative in your submission.

NOTE: INSTRUCTIONS for how Techs should be shown must be displayed in RED. Text that is not marked this way will likely be ignored. All instructions must be written in no more than 140 characters. Attaching a video of the Tech in action to your thread is strongly advised.

This thread will be archived just before the stream to make way for the next wave of Community Core submissions.

TFV 29 Orion

A prototype tech utilizing powerless AG and autonomous weaponry. I suggest consulting the control scheme and detonating the bolts before flying it, also hold down space the whole time.
There may be problems with the AG turrets turning so try not to engage enemies for too long.

It hovers. Hold DOWN to enable ground mode. Hold UP to disable Ground Mode. Anchor to let it charge.
It also has a power gauge and fuel gauge, even though thrusters are anathema.

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1906782540 is the link to it if need be.
Anyway, it is perfect to use in Campaign because I built it there.

Also, I have another machine that can complete any race track, even ground-based ones:

Hold W to power up. Otherwise, normal flight controls. It has no batteries.
The linear accelerators are the propellers. Now, you can fly with 2 hands.

You missed one of my techs last week, so, if it's all right, I'm going to resubmit it here. Say hello, possibly for the second time, to the Silver Trident:

Silver Trident.png

The Silver Trident is pretty powerful and has good straight-line speed. It is useless at turning or going up hills. Charge it up to make use of the shields and repair bubbles.

And here's a new Venture tech, the Zephyr:

Zephyr.png

The Zephyr is everything the Silver Trident wanted to be; not only fast and powerful, but manoeuvreable too. It can climb hills, turn, and run rings around enemies while pelting them with missiles. Again, charge it up to get the most out of it.

GK Laputa Babylon
You must press X to deploy it.

I strongly advice you swap it using plane in the air to deploy it.
like this:
3 (2).gif
This is a self-charging castle in the air which can stay in the air forever at any altitude you want.
It's one of cities of Laputa.
It's based on the 1986 Studio Ghibli anime movie Castle in the Sky, but not a imitation.

GK Block A
This is a mini-bomber.
Use it to bomb enemy's head and keep safe distance in the air.

Congratulations!
The bomber is finally added to the normal block!

Bear: A combat focused multi-tech hovercraft with layered shielding. The base hover is fully bubbled with Venture and has basic selling and mobile power generation capabilities. The smaller internal carried tech is little more than an AI unit, Hawkeye shield, and a Venture battery. In some circumstances this allows for significantly increased effectiveness than just one type of shields or another. And in an ideal situation (such as in the video below) a significant amount of damage is deleted since the Hawkeye shield cannot drain more than 1 battery's worth of power at a time. Press X after spawning, charge before use, WASD + Q/E, hold shift to float higher.

Bear.png

This video demonstrates the potential of layered shielding. The enemy turret is shooting 8 cruise missiles at a time, yet the Bear's battery power hardly drops. If the Bear were a normal tech taking 8 cruise missile shots at a time it would be out of power entirely in 4 salvos.

The Cyclops is the third iteration of a layered shielding hovercraft. This mobile base hovercraft features six smaller internal techs each with a havok shield and one battery. The main tech is repaired by mostly Venture bubbles and has GSO shielding to give some distance from impact point to the nearest blocks. Set lift to about 22 when picking up resources for burning or selling. Recommend lift set to 100 for general movement and combat.

To use:
Set lift to 100
Press X
Return lift to 0
Set lift to desired height (22 for resource gathering, 100 for everything else)

(this is to settle the internal techs, often they don't settle right initially causing the main tech to float up)

Wheeled hover that slides on the ground. It looks flat but can run on steep slopes and rough terrain. This Tech is fun to run in the desert.
When fighting enemies, lock on the target because the camera cannot keep up. Press the V key to stop and use solar power using the Rotating Anchor.

Enemy tech - "Spider Queen" - A delayed Halloween build. If you think the new Spider King is too puny, try this! Splits off 4 small spiderling techs that dance about on the ground, thanks to wheel physics™️. A 'just for fun' build, not very practical. Based on a jumping spider.

(Charge up a little.)
Switch to distant tech.
Set this as enemy.
Approach.
Or just deploy it as a player tech
and watch the little spiders dance, press space to activate the queen's legs.

Snapshot (also here on the workshop):

Spiderling (for reference):

Note - I wanted to have these tucked in tighter to the main tech, upside down and sideways, but the cab re-orientation bug left the spiderlings stuck in build beam...
