Community Core is a live stream where we showcase the best creations players have made in TerraTech.

If you'd like to have your tech showcased you can submit your techs by attaching snapshots, game saves or Steam Workshop links in this thread.

You'll be able to watch them in action on Wednesday 29th May from 4pm BST on Twitch:

www.twitch.tv/terratechgame

A limit of no more than TWO Snapshots/Steam Workshops or 3 Techs in a GAME SAVE per player, please :) If submitting a GAME SAVE please specify if it's R&D or Creative in your submission.

NOTE: INSTRUCTIONS for how Techs should be shown must be displayed in RED. Text that is not marked this way will likely be ignored. All instructions must be written in no more than 140 characters. Attaching a video of the Tech in action to your thread is strongly advised.

This thread will be archived just before the stream to make way for the next wave of Community Core submissions.

Techs! Techs! Nice, hot techs, fresh from the oven! Two for a pound or five for a sixpence! Step right up, ladies and anchored generators! Come an' get your techs!

*ahem*

This is the Excite Trike, a three-wheeled hover bug racing tech by Better Future. It cannot fly very well, so don't necessarily take it through a hover race course; it's fast and agile, though, so any of the land-based Venture courses should be easy for it. Charge it up if you plan on crashing into things.

Next up, we have GeoCorp's first (and probably last) racing car, Faster Than A Rock, made in partnership with Hawkeye. It works very much like a car, so drive it as you would a car. Again, charge it up to activate the repair bubble; crashing takes mere seconds, but putting a tech back together can take up to five minutes.

This is the Chunkball Minigame save file. Currently not in Co-op (no support for conveyor systems).

Creative Mode
Choose one of the two techs to play. The other one will stay immobile (until coop supports conveyors).
Pick the chunk in the middle of the field and put it in your receiver or the enemy's.
Defend your goals with your receiver, shooting it back at the enemy goals to score.

If conveyors are coming soon to Co-op, we can hold showing these techs for this upcoming game version, no problem.

The Dire Wolf MKII
Dire Wolf MKII.png
INSTRUCTIONS:
GO TO PAUSE MENU, CLICK OPTIONS, CLICK CONTROLS, REBIND AXIS 6 TO LEFTSHIFT/LEFTCTRL. USE SHIELD TOGGLES ON TOP REAR OF TECH TO TURN ON SHIELD AFTER CHARGING. WASD TO MOVE, Q/E TO STRAFE, SHIFT/CTRL TO GO UP/DOWN.

The new version of Dire Wolf airship. It is slower than the original but is much cheaper and has better shielding.

Ironhound.png

For this week's commcore, I present the Ironhound Cruiser. (Yes, it's based on another Eve ship, if you have an eagle eye.) It's also my first 6-axis controlled tech.

Instructions: Look at control scheme before attempting to pilot
Charge before fighting
Hovers at about 75% lift
Watch the video for how to fight with it - I apologize for the poor video quality. I'm very very new to trying to make videos and I'm still working out kinks.

Here's another rough workup of a co-op creative multiplayer mini-game: Hover Hockey! TerraTech's Rocket League.

Load attached save and host it for a quick knock about with devs/viewers (or just try it solo).

Two players on Team 1 (blue) and two on team 2 (pink), using cars provided.

Score the hover-puck up ramp into the other team's goal (defended by mini-turrets of their team colour).

After goal, spawn new hover-puck on halfway line (between recharging towers) and set it to neutral team.

I've no idea how well this will work in practice. This car design might get tangle up too much with each other, goals may be far too small or puck may get stuck on the ramps repeatedly (hover plates not triggered by regular blocks, may need a redesign)....

Tech #1:
Power Base.png
Its a giant power base to power the world. Anchor it, and wait for the solar panels to deploy. Look at the controls if you want to fly it.

Tech #2:
BF Mobile Storage.png
Mobile storage hovercraft, for transporting your base (if you want to move it and dont have time for recources to convert into blocks). Charge it up, and look at the controls.

Sorry we didn't get time to showcase these. I'll add it to next week's Comm Core.
