Attach snapshots or game saves of Techs you want to be included in the Community Core stream!

Community Core is a live stream where we showcase the best creations players have made in TerraTech.

You can watch them in action on Wednesday 23rd January from 4pm GMT on Twitch:

www.twitch.tv/terratechgame

A limit of no more than ONE snapshot or 4 Techs in a GAME SAVE per player, please :) If submitting a GAME SAVE please specify if it's R&D or Creative in your submission.

NOTE: INSTRUCTIONS for how Techs should be shown must be displayed in RED. Text that is not marked this way will likely be ignored. All instructions must be written in no more than 140 characters. Attaching a video of the Tech in action to your thread is strongly advised.

Techs will not be added to the game until we feel the population needs refreshing!

This thread will be archived just before the stream to make way for the next wave of Community Core submissions.

A creative save with 3 techs to show off (4 in the unstable save) with a theme of self sustain and power distribution. Use the Unstable save if running the latest unstable branch during the CC.

Harbinger: a larger BF hover with dual resource inputs to a refinery and silo. It's got plenty of firepower and an equivalent to roughly 20 GeoCorp batteries. 14 GeoCorp wireless chargers help keep allied techs fully charged. For use: WASD + QE as normal. Adjust hover height with Page Up and Page Down. Use boosters (shift) and pitch up (down arrow) at the same time for short flights.

Lancer MkII: a mostly BF plane designed to make strafing runs at trees and pick up the chunks for power, complete with refinery to maximize efficiency. Has a pair of GSO wireless chargers in the left side of the craft. Originally made as part of a challenge from Soviet_Samuelson. For use: Normal aircraft controls. Shoot down trees in flight and pick up the resources.

Scorpion: The Scorpion returns to the CC with a Better Future upgrade! Integrated BF hover power controllers to offset the lowered default hover height ceiling of the Venture hoverpads, flipped the tail resource receivers down, and swapped the bottom front wheels for BF variants. Uses 9 GeoCorp wireless chargers to keep its fleet of resource fetching drones topped off. For use: Car controls, Shift for boost. Press X before use. Shoot down trees/nodes, gather resources.

Unstable save only:
Jellyfish: a flying saucer type airship/hovercraft using the large air rig pieces, a multitude of Venture swarm missiles, and a centralized collector feeding two refinery lines for power generation and selling. The only thing missing is a giant beam to shoot from the bottom of the tech (hint hint). For use: WASD + QE for movement. Page Up/Page Down to set lift, below 88 is hover mode. Above about 88 has it fly.

EDIT: Updated to include an unstable save and added a new tech using many of the new BF parts.

save file below
Take control of each AI fighter and press x. Then watch them attack the enemy turrets.
I think it'd be cool to have some aerial challengers in the campaign.
note: The planes will not work as well in the new unstable. This was submitted before the unstable came out.

With the new parts I was able to make a nice, rounded tech. Introducing the Laser Crumpet:

Laser Crumpet.png

The Laser Crumpet is something of a misnomer, bearing little resemblance to an actual crumpet. It wouldn't taste too good either. It packs a punch, though, and can take a bit of a beating, as well as manoeuvreing decently enough. Once again, it needs to be charged.

Reaper Assault AI Cruise Bomber (test)
Reaper 4.png
Set Linear Motion Engine to max throttle, charge, then switch to another Tech.
Change AI to "Follow" and unleash on random target.

Will work if the hover heights haven't been messed around since 1.0.2.

the LAS130 CS_WhiteFlare or Light airship version 1.3 Call Sign WhiteFlare is an airship designed to be able to handle small to medium engagements by using its height advantage to rain down missiles and cannon fire on its targets

controls are the exact same as in the control scheme, its recommended combat height is between 200 and 275 feet while about 150 to 250 feet away from the enemy, when boosting with CTRL lift or pitch up at the same time or it will thrust towards the ground instead of up. hope you enjoy this one!you can expect at least 1 more like it next week!
