Buying vs Crafting [Poll]

Heyho, I'm a not-so-noobish player with 100ish hours on the game, and there's an aspect of this game that I find rather tempting, but in the same time somewhat exasperating - the block crafting mechanism. What I wonder is do people primarily get their blocks from buying vs crafting(getting them from NPCs is unimportant for this inquiry of mine).

So in order to give myself some food for thought, and maybe even act! (rawr angry forum threads!!) on the new insight, I present you this poll. Since this forum uses a simple poll system, lemme explain how I'd like you to vote:
There are 6 options, but they are grouped into 3 pairs based one game progression - I'd like you to pick 1 option for each game progression state, voting on whether you prefer buying or crafting blocks in that game stage. The 'game stage' is left vague on purpose, but I'd guess we can approximate mid-game is when you get Hawkeye and Better Future licenses(comment bellow if you think we should reevaluate this).

Yeah I figured most of the players do that by default, so I didn't include it. My hypothesis is that Looting:Any-other-method is probably 9:1, but also that in the 'any other method', Buying:Crafting is 9:1 (hence the poll).

Same. I do fabricate to get blocks above my license grade, though.

I usually build. Because you need to to 'Discover' blocks.
Also cheaper.
but if i have 4 million BB, i just buy stuff from the terminal i made, after i built it once.
