Building Undiscovered Blocks in Fabricators

    Can we have the availability to make blocks we haven't discovered in fabricators cause they really have no use as payload terminals absolutely put the fabricators in the trash?

    You can already build Blocks from the Grade above wherever you are in the game. But yeah, Crafting could be more powerful. Not sure we'll unlock it all at this point. We'll have to see.

    You mean, undiscovered blocks of the same grade... (e.g. you can't craft Megatons at GSO grade 4.)

    Definitely sensible to wait until it's no longer totally broken before encouraging it.:p;)

    Oh Bum. I've just checked and you're right, I'll get it switched back to how it used to be. You're supposed to be able to craft Blocks from the grade above your current one. We'll get it sorted out. Cheers!

    Nice. I think that will definitely will boost crafting's popularity. For the time being, though I hate to admit it, it would be much less hassle to raise the funds and buy a block instead of traveling to find resources then craft it. This won't fix that, but at least we'll be able to make higher tier-stuff. Thanks Zanzistar and anybody else involved!

    That really is going to make crafting a lot more powerful.:eek:

    .... And my most recent YouTube episode's info outdated, of course (always was risky).

    ... And the planned one significantly impacted: I'd just hit GSO level 4, I was going to show how to remove blocks you can't access from workshop techs, so as to load my Perhonen Compressed (All) Crafter ahead of level 5. But I won't need to now. Can just make the parts.:confused: And then Big Berthas, Hover Steers and Missiles for drones, etc, all at once...

    ...And all the Venture end-game blocks too come to think of it (seeing as I'd quickly leveled up Venture to level 2 to get their Fab)! Mass produced Avalanches = game over. (And it was too easy as it was, now trivial.:oops:)

    You'll be able to craft all the main crafting blocks about a level and a half ahead of the Crafty Mike missions, too (after exploring for the resources)... Will make crafting a worthwhile speed-running mechanic, for sure!:)

    Any idea how quick that will come through in an update? Just a quick setting change from yourself, so in the next unstable?

    I thought some more about this. And actually, it's going to make crafting powerful for only one thing, and then irrelevant: getting all the payload terminal(s) as soon as you first hit GSO level 4.o_O:(

    GSO level 4 -> Teir 3 dongle -> GSO Terminal. Then, as soon as you get a corp's Fabricator (at the beginning of level 2 for each) you can make all level 3 blocks, which currently includes the Terminals. You can even scrap a GSO terminal to save having to make the 3 Exotic components more than once (thought about all this after watch this video doing just that)...

    Really, Terminal's level should be upped to 4 (or 6 for GSO), to avoid this. Or prevent them from being discoverable by crafting, at all (until licences are maxed).

    @zanzistar - have you considered this? Is the above fix/change due with 1.0? (It's a fairly big deal for the end-game meta, once the word gets out.)

    You can also craft things that you have discovered through picking up, assuming they don't need components higher than you can make. Eg scrapping GSO terminals to create copies of other corps Terminals assuming you have gotten at least one of them.

    e.g. All the longer GSO basic blocks, which I got access to at GSO level 3, thanks to an invader (no components needed).

    Currently you can only discover payload terminals via crafting if you are level 3 in that corp and have their Fabricator. (Or there's a dodgy invader/enemy with a terminal on, that wasn't filtered out from spawning, for some reason.)

    Not legitimately found HE or Venture Terminals. But the biggest Invader ("Mobile Factory" or something, has loads of GSO 1x1x1 hover plates underneath)) has at least 1 GSO terminal, and there is a population tech (no idea on the name) built all from GC with a sort of ring of batteries, Scotty pads on top and drills all round the front, that has the GC terminal.
