I'm currently creating a jet modeled after the F-35 Lightning, and have some very specific area requirements on it. pretty much, the way im making it, i dont have enough power. I'll give some links to the internals/side view/top view of it here:
(the plane has perfect symmetry BTW, don't know if that'l help)

as well as what parts I'm using for fuel/engines at the moment.
I currently have it optimized as best as i can, using mostly the fuel tanks from Hawkeye and engines from Better future
Engines:2x Better Future Large Booster, 4x Better Future Orb Booster
Fuel:8x Hawkeye Fuel Tank

It also has a large downwar/forward arc, as in when flying the front end goes downward. Is this due to being front heavy, or is it from the booster on top? I have around 160 hours in this game, but have never cared about technical stuff much until now. Does anyone know how to make this craft more fuel efficient with the current space? thanks!

P.S. If anyone needs more detailed pictures or part listings/descriptions, LMK. If needed, i can upload the plane to the steam community workshop.

POST CANCELLED I'm just gonna scrap this whole project. I can't get the shape accurate to source material without major problems in speed and turning, and turbines are 100x better anyways. maybe i could just use those and have better future ion drives for cosmetics?

remove any high up jets
I'll try that, thanks. I have one Better Future large engine up on top. The wings may be an issue though, because I'm trying to model it after an F-35 Lightning, and that has far back and slightly swept wings. Thanks otherwise!

*edit: I've removed the top engine, and added it to the bottom instead, as sort of a counterbalance, and it helped quite a bit, although there's still a bit of drop. I'll try to make the craft shorter and wider to accommodate for the more forward wings and lost fuel space due to shortening. The craft is currently around 4 blocks wide in the main body, so it's not even accurate to the model. I guess this is a 2 for 1!
well shortening it didn't work at all...
