Okay, so this has been a "bug" for as long as I've played TT, but recently it's annoyed me enough that I'll make a post about it. I realize this might be a long standing issue, but I don't want it to be forgotten.

Why is it so difficult to get a clean picture of a tech? Why does the snapshot tool randomly focus on the tech without rhyme or reason?

Examples:
Cursebreaker Cam1.png
Cursebreaker Cam2.png
Cursebreaker Cam3.png

I know the tech is big. That's not the problem, this will happen regardless of tech size, in some cases not even seeing any part of the tech. What's going on? Why can't we get a clean snapshot which captures the full tech?

It's especially confusing since you zoom out and have the entire tech centered on screen but when you snapshot it the aimpoint for the camera is completely different.

The snapshot tool really could use some tweaking and improvement. I've also had numerous experiences where I had to zoom out to levels I would otherwise not feel comfortable playing at just to get a clean pic of my tech

Likewise.. it's been like that from before I even started! It's always bothered me, but wasn't quite broken enough to get pushed up the priority list. If you're fixing crashes this kind of issue tends to come second..

I'm happy to say that we've been slowly catching up and are finding more time to fix these sort of issues.

I present to you:

Unfortunately it didn't make it in the last (un)stable, so look out for it in the next unstable in ~2 weeks time!
