    Hey, thanks for bringing this over here.:D (Actual Steam thread link.)

    Cool bug. There have been other glitches that allowed submerged anchoring, in the past, but I don't think I've seen this one...

    With your tech it's the SCU, high up the back, that's anchoring the tech down. but another other anchor works too. And it need not have clear air directly below the block, either.

    Here's a little demonstration of the minimum requirements for the bug:



    Anchor block needs to be about 13 meters elevated.
    A block beneath it can prevent anchoring, sometimes, but not when it's further displaced.
    No other anchorable blocks closer to the ground.

    Wow, this is impressive, finding the requirements for the bug to work:eek:
    Also ye, that link '^^
    However, I have found something that also prevents the bug from working, and I'm not sure how it works. I tried recording a video but it gets too laggy. Here are a couple of screenshots(the names show in which situation one anchors and when not):

    This might have something to do with the overall width, but I'm not sure. I attached stuff to the side rockets up the front. Seems to always not work when I go out 1 sideways and/or 1 forward.

    I found your tech a little be sensitive to changes too, but the SCU anchor is right on the cusp of being high enough to work, so, for example, removing the wheels prevented the bug.

    The behaviour may well be more complex than what I've outlined, but this should easily be clear enough for the coders to know where to look.:) (If/when this report is logged and they have time.)

    Well, as of now might as well make full use of this bug cause it seems funny. Hope there wil also be some workshop techs with this too, just for fun:D

    Yeah, it's good for turrets and such, because they can shoot up/out through the terrain while remaining invincible. Still have to protect the anchor of course.

    Hey guys, logged this up, thanks for reportin!

    You can if you want to, your save game is your own.

    Can't say for sure if any techs you place underground will still be intact when we fix this bug, we won't be restoring anything that happens because of that :p
