[0.7.7.0] - SCU Still Broken {occasional deployment visual glitch}

    The SCU texture is still glitched

    HOW TO RECREATE

    1. Again, just spam and get lucky. Theres no order of how to do it

    Probably because I always am posting this in every verison. I understand though, bugs can be hard to smack down!

    They sure can, but this one is definitely a minor one, probably the sort of thing we'd try and fix later in the development process. Don't worry, it's logged, and we'll get to it eventually :)

    I've merged @JimmyBlether's new thread titled "SCU Texture Bug Return (think, 0.7.9)" with this existing one.

    No fault for not finding this thread, since the forum won't actually let you search for "SCU" - too short, apparently! (I happened to remember who posted it, randomly.)

    As a low priority, occasional graphical glitch, I'm fairly sure it won't have been fixed since this last report.

    I've added "{occasional deployment visual glitch}" to thread title.

    I know how to replicate this glitch properly.I just found this a month ago but didn't have the time to report it.
    Anyway,here's how to do it:
    1.Place SCU on ground
    2.When it's powered up fully,use the radial menu to return it to your inventory
    3.Click undo,when it returns it will look like that.
    Not sure if this helps in any reason,but here it is anyway...

    When you load a game, HE SCUs that are anchored show both the black hole and the covering.

    This started happening in 1.0. This does not affect actual SCU functionality in any way.

    I've just merged @Zorgomol's new thread titled "[1.0.0.1](PC) HE SCU visual glitch" with this older one.

    It was already known a year ago and I've seen it continually since then with the GSO SCU. It's an animation glitch with all the SCU and crafting blocks that can animate - they glitch if they are unloaded from the world while deployed/animating, and the glitch transfers to any new block of that type that is instantiated.


    I was only able to find this old report because I had it archived on my PC. Couldn't Google it and the forum's search function refuses to work with 3 letter terms like "SCU" (too short). @Matt could you get that restriction relaxed? I hit it a lot.

    You can also get this by going far away, enough to unload chunks then coming back.

    I think this is pretty reliable?

    It happens a lot with Hawkeye SCU.
